Goodbyes are a funny thing, I have never been fond of them because I have never really felt confident about where I was going.

In the past 2 years I learned a lot, listened, perhaps too much to some people and not enough to others, but I listened to myself and transformed my life in a pretty huge way. I had my eyes opened to the kind of life I was meant to be living and I have done some things I have always wanted to do, I have never regretted anything because I always had faith and I always had him beside me pushing me on when I got stuck and telling me it was all about the long game. I had undivided faith even at the worst of times.
I fought for something so hard with everything i had, against everyone i knew, I fought to get it, to keep it and to save it and thats not something many people can say and this year I am going live the life we had planned, fun, carefree and open, no more hiding.
Goodbyes can be painful, letting something go that meant so much, but I dont think it can hurt as much as someone letting you go. I said goodbye yesterday.

It’s been a journey, and this song has been the beginning and the end.

I listened to her new album and it could not have come at a better time.
I was wrong, it is #Awesome.

Love her description of the song, brilliant.

Oh that rascal, I hate it when “he” catches me off guard putting the black out screens back in the boot.

£6 fulfilment

I have a new ring. It’s nothing special to look at just a golden coloured woven ring and it cos me all of £6. I have been wanting for a ring to wear, I am not much of a jewellery person but for some reason I feel a bit like this new addition to my hands has been missing and simple as it is it screams of me. I’m not sure what that says about me? Possibly I am simple, an emotionally interwoven circle of entanglement, gaudy and cheap? Yikes, think ill stick with it just being nice.

Had I seen it anywhere else I might not have taken any notice of it, but I spent an hour and half in the most remarkable shop I have ever been. Top to toe and overflowing with all things that are unique, easy and symbolic of a better time. Extreme? You bet! Owned by 2 old hippies, their words not mine, their humbling authentic bay window sits outside acting like an shop open sign and representative of 2 people ”Old enough to have been around when the concept of peace, love and rock n’ roll inspired a generation of free spirits”.

With guitars being tried and tested and impromptu gigs beating out on the 1st floor, inspired 60’s apparel and jewellery and an air of inspiring a life of colour and fulfilment, the shop is far beyond the tie dye t shirts and hologram necklace displays of the time you might see today, simply put it is their experience and lived way of life, and they are giving you the chance to be part of it.

Of course there are the camper van essentials inside, having owned their own van for years how could that not be part of their offering, but not the air fresheners and VW salt & pepper pots you find at commercial shows, real lifestyle belongings that you would collect along the way on your camper van travels. The most inspiring thing about this store, the couple that own it, and their passion to carry on living the life they started living 50 years ago only through a different outlet, by selling their lifestyle to others. Its like their journey has just continued with the same love for life and when one avenue of living it came to a natural end they created another to carry on the journey.
My friend said today that it’s people like that that we want to be, people that do the things and go the places, and that’s why I love this ring so much, in that shop for that hour and half i really felt like that’s the sort of person I am, just like this couple, people that do and go.

I do have one thing up on her, I popped back to the shop to pick something up Id contemplated over night and when I asked “no bus today?” she replied with a smile “not today, I don’t drive that thing, I leave that to him”.

She doesn’t know what she’s missing. :-)

Best looking wipe out, ever!

This is the most inspiring wet wear I have seen, and what a message!

“Design with a philosophy of integrity and personal style. Keep it original, sophisticated and playful. Fuse fashion and function. Be forward thinking, yet hold onto all things good from bygone eras.

Celebrate uniqueness. Harness confidence. Expose inner beauty. Encourage our philosophy that the exquisiteness belongs to the wearer, not the label. Be a little unconventional. Celebrate our wins and not dwell on the losses. Remember who we are. Reluctantly admit when we’re wrong. Adjust, grow, daydream. Disregard trends - trust in self. Introduce new concepts.

Mingle. Be inspired by like minded creatures and eat chocolate every Monday. Surf - no matter how bad we are! Love and respect fellow Mother Nature. Acknowledge our customers and share our success. Say yes! Love the ride. Make it happen. Inspire. Re-create.”

I would happily surf and swim badly in any of their clothes, I might not look quite like the models or surf like a pro but atleast id be wiping out in style, June surf trip is looking a lot more foxy!

Tallow have been my favourite for a long time, but I was told it’s far too cold over here to don any of their surfsuits, still, on dry land I would very much enjoy wearing this Drifter Tee and Valle Nevado jumpsuit.

The Seea have some lovely things as well, now all we need is the weather to pick up so I can justify wearing something that doesn’t resemble a ski suit!
